Moorea

After eleven days of sail, we flew about 100 miles east to the island of Moorea, staying at the InterContinental Resort for five days of island touring and diving. We had travelled there with our kids in 2004 for our 20th wedding anniversary. We stayed in the same rooms at the same resort that we vacationed in twelve years ago! We loved coming back to this place that have had a cherished place in our memories these many years.

I can't say enough
good things about this lagoon that we're standing in. It is great for skin diving. Loads of wildlife - from turtles, to sharks, schools of tropical fishes, eels, rays, on and on. - Cathy

Picasso Trigger Fish
This was another of Shelby's and David's ideas. Biking up ~3,000 ft in tropical heat. The boys made it biking. I did lots of walking but biked the last, oh, say 50 yards.

But don't we look so intense and successful here! For a few yards, at least - Anna Catherine

This was a beautiful stream and was a fun picture to take. It took a bit of acrobatics on David's and Shelby's parts to set-up the camera and scoot into place. There was also a fresh-water eel in the pool! - Cathy
Yes, this is how the view really looked. Anna Catherine took these photos. No editing. - Cathy

They also have long, skinny "mail" boxes for baguettes! Delivered fresh every morning! Ahhhhh..... - Cathy
Tahitian Drums (to’ere): These guys were just playing for fun beside Oponuhu Bay.
Merci, Air France, for the extra day in Tahiti. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy all the pools at the hotel and have a whole loaf of Shashimi Tuna x 3 as appetizers!
I may never eat it again...even the stray cat stopped begging for food after a pound or two of fish! - Cathy
